We’ve Got a Good Thing Growing
2023 Fair Concert
Join us June 19th – 24th for the 2023 Putnam County Fair in Ottawa, Ohio
Thanks and Appreciation
The Board of Directors of the Putnam County Agricultural Society
acknowledges the many contributions to the Fair. Thank you to the various retailers, merchants, businesses, corporations and individuals who provide vital support through equipment, sponsorships and/or advertisements. We urge you to support them in return. The cooperation and commitment of the County Commissioners and all State and Local Officials including police, fire and emergency responders is most appreciated. We are also very grateful for the hard work and dedication of the County Garage, 4-H Extension Service, Junior Fairboard, 4-H and FFA advisors and the countless, selfless volunteers. The Putnam County Fair renews a tradition of service and spirit of giving to honor our heritage, showcase our youth and promote our community.
Enjoy the fair…”Our Fair”!
We are excited to share the plans we have growing over here! Many hours of planning and collaborating with the commissioners have taken place to make this all happen.
Our first announcement is the new event center that is expected to be completed in May 2024. The state-of-the-art facility will hold ~725 people, and will be available for a variety of purposes outside of the week of the fair – benefiting the whole county. This building will replace the current Junior Fair & Merchant Buildings currently on the grounds.
Secondly, the grandstands will receive a facelift prior to the 2024 Putnam County Fair. The historical facility will see a new roof, metal siding, new posts throughout and new concrete. These updates will extend the life of the structure for many years to come.
New entertainment acts are planned for the week as well!! On Wednesday in the entertainment tent, we will host a much-anticipated gospel night. Many area choirs and gospel groups will come together to provide an evening of music free to all fairgoers.
For all of you who enjoy live music – get your ticket to the concert in the grandstands on Thursday night! The Hits of Today, Stars of Tomorrow Tour will be on stage featuring Chad Brock, and up and coming artists Ashley Barron & Jarrod Turner. See them local before they hit the big stage!
And NEW exciting entertainment for the whole family…Wolves of the World. This is the only traveling wolf pack in the world! Educational shows each day to demonstrate natural behaviors of wolves, their abilities, and alertness. The wolves will be on display throughout the day for your viewing.
The Putnam County Ag Society is very thankful for all of our past directors, volunteers, advisors, members, and youth in this county who have continually participated in shaping the future of our fair while creating many memories along the way. We are appreciative of all of you who continue to support the fair, as we keep the good things growing, for the future.
